Advertise with Grand Rapids Magazine!
Grand Rapids is a vibrant community
of young, active adults reliant on the resourceful
information and editorial content found in every monthly
issue of Grand Rapids Magazine
. . . the city's Life With Style magazine.
Sales and Marketing Management's 2005
annual Survey of Buying Power revealed that there
are $9.85 billion in metropolitan area retail sales.
Grand Rapids Magazine's 48,000 monthly readers
represent roughly 20% of this purchasing power.
How
so? Because the average household income of our readers
is $128,800* and 70% of area retail sales are attributed
to residents with annual HH incomes of $50,000+.
Grand Rapids
Magazine readers account for $2.678 billion
in area sales, reason enough to advertise every
month
in Grand Rapids Magazine.

Grand
Rapids Magazine Editorial Calendar 2008
In addition to the monthly editorial focus
and supplemental publications, each issue of Grand Rapids
Magazine
includes these life with style complements:
Life & Style
The ingredients for Life & Style vary from month to
month, but the recipe always calls for luxurious goods,
fascinating facts, healthful tidbits and insider knowledge.
Our fashion pages capture the trends of the time; our
outdoor series is a Michigan escape.
Design
This section recognizes River City's legacy of a rich design
community - and the current expertise that allows readers
to be on the cutting edge of design movements in architecture,
landscaping, furnishings, decorating and more.
City Guide
Consider this section a monthly guide to the city. It features
Grand Rapids' most comprehensive entertainment calendar
(music, art, film, museums and attractions, lectures and
workshops, special events, and kidstuff) and profiles individuals
in the area's art and music scenes. After the cultural fix,
this guide leads readers to culinary delights, including
honest restaurant reviews and listings, chef profiles and
gourmet recipes.
Advertising in The Restaurant Guide
Grand Rapids Magazine is the leading authority
on where to dine in Grand Rapids. Nothing makes that point
more vivid than our annual Restaurant Guide — the
most authoritative and appetizing guide to area restaurants
and eateries.
Circulation is 25,000 with 18,000
copies inserted in the popular February issue of Grand
Rapids
Magazine. Remaining copies go to area restaurants, hotels and
trade shows. The Restaurant Guide is printed on weighty,
70# satin finish four-color paper for a vibrant presentation.

Printed on 40-60 lb., covers on 60-80 lb. Printed
by web offset. Perfect binding. Unless otherwise noted.
Screen requirements
150-line for B&W and four-color, 200-line for covers. Compensate
for dot gain. Image resolution should be 300 dpi.
Camera-ready
Computer to plate technology is currently used to produce
the magazine. Negatives supplied will require scanning
into
a digital format for placement into the magazine and
will incur additional charges. It is preferred that
ads be created
in QuarkXpress and supplied on removable digital media
with file information, fonts, all supporting elements
and composite
proof required. We recommend using the collect for output
function standard on most programs. Please see your
sales
consultant for the most up-to-date information.
Separated hard copy is required for all four-color
ads along with a composite color proof. There are no additional
charges for placing electronic ads, but color ads MUST
have a current color proof, such as a Rainbow or Iris
digital
proof. If furnishing color copies or low end digital proofs,
color cannot be guaranteed. Materials furnished other
than
specified above are subject to production charges.
Color advertisers
If you are trying to match a specific color please provide
a sample. Bear in mind that Pantone® colors do not always
convert well to process. Color ads MUST have a current color
proof, such as a Rainbow or Iris digital proof. If furnishing
color copies or low-end digital proofs color cannot be guaranteed.
Proofs
Clients/Agencies requiring proofs must submit complete
ad materials prior to proper closing date. Proofs sent
to Clients/Agencies
must be returned to publisher within 24 hours of receipt,
with all corrections clearly noted on proof and with
client
signature.
